Open, crop

Duplicate base and set to screen 100%, you may need to choose a lower opacity depending on your image.

Add a new dark blue exclusion layer. Cjoose a very dark blue, so your image goes kind of pinky. Set it to 100% I used #010635

Add another new fill layer, #CDD1FB set to color burn 100%

Selective colouring layer:-

Reds:-

-100

+11

+100

-43

Yellows:-

+100

+100

+100

+100

Neutrals:-

+52

+12

-40

+6

Thats it, you're done!

Tutorial #2

This: 5.png To: 3-1.png

Desaturate your image.

Add a new brightness/contrast layer:-

Brightness: -20

Contrast: +43

Copy and paste this texture: 4.png

Set to Darken 100%

I'd love to see results of the tuts, and comments would be lovely!

I've seen a few people ask how to get a border like this:

userbanner6.png

1. Select all, and make a new layer. Pick a color, and go to Edit>Stroke. If you want a thick border, like the one I put in the about header, enter 17px, and make sure 'Center' is ticked. Click ok.

2. With your image still selected, make another new layer. Pick another color, and go to Edit>Stroke. Enter in 15 px, and click ok.

3. Your image should still be selected, if not, select it, and make another new layer. Using the same color you used for the 17px one, go to Edit>Stroke, and enter in 1px.

Is there a tut for the colouring of this pic?

This is the closest I got. The colouring isn't exact, but that banner was made a while ago, so..

tuthd2.png >> tuthd1.png (this one is a bit darker than the banner)

1. Create a new curves layer. Enter these settings:

curveslayer1.png

Duplicate this layer, and set to 30.

2. Create a new Color Balance layer.

Midtones: -20, -4, 19

Shadows: -19, -6, -16

3. Create a new Hue/Sat layer.

Saturation: 19

4. Create a new Selective Color layer.

Reds: -83, 0, 76, 0

Yellows: -100, 20, -100, 0

Neutrals: 24, 1, -14, 0

5. Create another Selective Color layer.

Reds: -19, 0, 18, -11

Yellows: 0, 0, -42, 0

Neutrals: 18, 8, -6, 0
