The categories have 14 (mini) forums in total and of these some contain subforums. The individual forums are:

Announcements:

Announcements: Only Administrators and Moderators can start new topics. This section is for updates on the main site BTTB.net and also any changes to the forum. Feel free to reply if you want to give an opinion or ask a question on any of the updates posted in there.

 
Suggestions: This is a really good feature, if you feel something on the forum should be improved or something else added, say it here! If there is anything as a new member you think should have been mentioned in the Newbie section please post telling us in the  New Member Information thread. If there is anything you are unsure about you can post here. Also if you're not sure if your avatar is a spoiler you can post it in the avatar authorisation thread and ask a moderator or specified member. 

 

Home and Away:

The Bayside Diner: This is the place to disuss the pre-2000 era of Home and Away. It is for long term viewers to chat about the good old days and new viewers to ask and find out about past home and away episodes, characters etc.

General Discussion: This is for casual chat about Home and Away or anything non-country related. If you are in a country which is new to Home and Away or you are quite far behind you are likely to find spoilers in here. This forum is for discussion of anything that has happened up to UK pace. There are specific country based threads though and if your country isn't there, feel free to start a thread. There should be no spoilers posted in here for anybody outside the UK. (What is a spoiler?) This also contains a Quick Questions Thread. This is the place to post any of those questions you have which require a short reply. Please do not start a new topic for those questions.

Australian Discussion: This is for chat about what is CURRENTLY happening in Australia, this obviously contains spoilers for viewers outside Australia. The password is 'australia'. It is password protected to allow members who don't want to see spoilers to not enter by mistake and also to prevent spoilers being shown in the topic title. This also contains a Quick Questions thread for any of those short questions specifically related to what has happened in Australia. There should be no spoilers for Australian viewers posted in here. Key topics in this section include the weekly episode discussion and ratings discussion.

This forum also contains a sub forum: Australian Episode Summaries: These are summaries of the latest Australian episodes and are provided by one of the contributors JosieTash, although other members do occasionally write summaries too. Please do not post a summary without first asking JosieTash if it is okay to do so. He has posted the summaries for so long that it is only fair you ask him first, also he may already have a summary written and you posting may mean he's wasted a lot of time and effort. Please use the thanks thread to post in and don't post in the summary threads themselves.

Spoiler Section: This contains spoilers for all viewers. Please do not believe everything you read in here, although most of it is pretty reliable. If you have a spoiler to post please state its source, if you are unable to do so, please don't be offended if members don't believe you, a lot have been taken in in the past. The pinned spoilers are provided by proven, reliable sources but if for whatever reason they don't appear 'on time', please don't ask for them as you may delay their appearance. They'll be posted when they're ready. Beware of threads titled 'foilers' these are fake spoilers that members make up for fun. Again this forum is password protected and the password is 'spoiler'.

 

Character/Actor Appreciation: This is where you chat about your favourite characters. Can't see a thread on your favourite character? try searching their name in the search engine:

There are also hate threads for characters, but remember the characters not the actors. Abuse of the actors is strictly forbidden.

 

News and Articles: This is where you can post news about the Home and Away cast and crew, try and post the original location of the article too eg. a newspaper or website name. But remember Do NOT 'copy and paste' content from Seven's Official Home and Away Website.

Creativity and Multimedia:

When you enter 'Creativity and Multimedia', you see four sub forums:

 

Artwork and Creations: Where you can post any of your own artwork, avatars etc in your own thread or in the Random Artwork Thread. Please do not start up multiple threads without first consulting a moderator to close your original one. You can post non- Home and Away artwork but please try and remember that this is a Home and Away forum so you should try and include Home and Away artwork also. There are threads in here for competitions which anybody can join but please make sure you read the rules of the competition before entering. 

Episodes and Clips: As it says, episodes and clips of Home and Away, they have usually been requested. You will also find the Current Australian Episodes thread where people upload the current episodes nearly everyday. If you use these and want to say thanks, please use the 'Thank-you thread' as posting in the 'Current Australian Episodes' thread is not allowed unless you are posting the link to the next episode. There is to be no requesting of episodes whatsoever in here and certainly no nagging of episodes either on the forum or by PM.

Episode / Clip Requests: This is where you request clips, please be polite about it and do not exceed your request limit, found here. If your posts don't appear visible straight away do not worry, this forum is set so that a moderator can check that you haven't exceeded your request limit so the posts will only appear when a moderator has approved them. If your post is not approved you will receive a PM informing you of this. DO NOT request current Australian episodes or nag the uploaders by PM or any other method. Like with the spoilers they'll be posted when they're ready and this will only delay them or result in a warning from a moderator.

Screencaptures and Photos: Here you can find screencaptures of episodes and other random pictures. If you can't find a picture you are looking for, use the Request Thread or if you have a picture you want to share, feel free to use the Random Caps and pictures thread. Please don't post thanks, requests or comments in the individual threads but use the pinned threads at the top of the forum. 

Finally below the sub forums there is another section which is for a mixture of things eg. Songs related to the show, videos members have made and occasionally pictures although it is preferred you post them in the 'Screen Captures and Photos' thread.

 

What do you think...?: This is a section where you can voice your opinion on the show, characters and actors. In here you will find polls in which you can create or vote in. You can find a guide to creating polls here. Please double check the poll you want to start doesn't already exist before opening a new one.

Fanfiction: This is where members write stories about Home and Away, its basically where the storylines are down to you. Remember most of the stuff in here have no bearing on actual storylines. In here there are three sub forums:

The Vault which is for uncompleted or abandoned stories,

Northern Districts Library which is where a story gets moved when it is completed. Stories in the Northern Districts Library have separate comments threads and a catalogue. 

The Adult Forum is for stories that contain adult themes or storylines. The password for this forum is 'adultbooks'.  More information can be found in this thread and if you are unsure if a story should be in the adult forum please contact a Librarian. Tha adult forum also contains a catalogue. 

There are certain rules to be read before you post a story in the fanfiction section and these can be found here. Please read this thread before posting.

 

Casual Discussion:

General Chat: This is for casual discussion on non-Home and Away topics eg music etc. You will also find a very useful thread in here called the newbie thread. This is the place to introduce yourself, tell us who you are and say hello to other members. There are also two sub forums of General Chat:

Neighbours: For all the fans who like it as well. Spoilers for Australia are to be posted in the Spoiler Thread, and discussion of the spoilers in the Spoiler Discussion Thread. If your topic contains spoilers for UK viewers you should edit it to include spoiler tags.

Television:  For discussion of all other TV programs.Please check there is not a thread before you start a new one.

Games Room: For Home and Away and non-Home and Away related games. The 'Games Room' is for Home and Away games and the:

General Games Room (a sub forum) Is for non Home and Away Games.
