Your Control Panel

Here is your main control panel:


This is used for lots of things. Above you can see, it shows you account details, the five topics you last read and your personal notepad. This notepad is, as it says personal notepad, no one else can see it. You can write anything you want here eg. reminders.

There is also your menu to the left, I have broken it up into sections to make it easier:


This is your messenger where you can send personal messages, you can learn how you do this here.

The next thing is subscriptions:


When replying to a topic, you are given the the option of subscribing to it, this means that when someone else replies to that certain topic you will get an email. Here you can view the topics you are subscribed to and change or cancel them.

Then there is your personal profile:


Here you can decide on what personal information you want other members to see eg. birthday or location. Here you can also decide whether you want an email when someone adds you as a friend or comments on your profile. The other functions here are for choosing your avatar or changing your signature as well as uploading your personal photo, this is optional. See here. 

An finally the 'options':


This is a section you won't need very often. The important features are 'manage your friend list' where you can add or approve friends, the 'Manage Ignored users' where you can add a member you wish to ignore which means their posts will disappear, the 'Email Settings' which has options like 'hind my email address from members' and whether you want to receive emails by admins, the 'Board Settings' includes features like 'show other member's signatures' or 'View avatars when reading topics'. The last two features are self-explanatory, these are where you change your email or password.
